Strength of RASTRA

It is not surprising that a wall made of a grid of concrete columns of 6” (150mm) diameter with reinforcing steel is stronger than a wall made of wood.

Dynamic shear tests, designed to simulate earth-quakes measured the resistance of RASTRA being up to 700% stronger than a traditional wooden frame wall.

In fact, the tests were performed to simulate an earthquake of a magnitude of 8.5 on the Richter scale, on a 6-storey structure. The 1:1 scale test object did not show any structural damage.

RASTRA walls are made to withstand the challenges of severe climates, Including tornadoes, fires (5 hours at 2200F have been tested), hurricanes even earth-quakes.
